Ferry delayed due to technical failure

The "Elyros" was expected to depart from the port of Piraeus with a delay, bound for Chania, Oon June 26, 2025. The delay was caised by a minor technical failure. As a result the ferry had to undergo a prescribed technical inspection. Once the inspection procedures were completed and the ship was deemed completely safe to sail, it departed for the port of Souda short past midnight.

The "Elyros" returned to the port of Piraeus on Sep 28, 2024, at dawn after a fault had occurred in the power supply of the generators eight nautical miles off the Greek coast between Aegina and Glyfada with 977 passengers and 119 crew members a on board. The shiphad sailed from Piraeus on Sep 27 at 9 p.m., bound for Crete.

Passenger lost consciousness

The Port Authority of Chania was informed in the evening of April 30, 2023, that a 17-year-old passenger lost consciousness inside his cabin. He was disembarked and transported by ambulance to the General Prefectural Hospital of Chania, for further medical treatment, while theship sailed on its approved route.
