Cargo ship intercepted by Libyan Army

The 'Helvetia', while proceeding from Misrata and heading east for orders, was intercepted and detained by a Libyan National Army (LNA) patrol vessel in vicinity 32 58 09 N, 022 09 58 E, northwest of Ras el Hilal in the afternoon of Sep 26, 2021. The vessel was detained for breaching the LNA 'No Sail Zone' and was escorted to the Ras el Hilal anchorage for administrative procedures. The ship sailed again on Sep 27 at 8.30 p.m.

Vessel suffered a technical failure

The "Helvetia" suffered a technical failure on Jan 23, 2019. She sheltered in the Hisaronu Bay anchorage at Marmaris at 9 a.m., where repairs were started by the crew. The ship was en route from Hereke to Alexandria and was underway again by Jan 24.
