Trawler in Cherbourg vandalized

In Cherbourg the 'Maranatha II - CH.914060', 103 gt, has been vandalized in the night of Nov 25, 2019, and a man was arrested on board. On Nov 26 at 6:45 a.m., while the mechanic of the trawler was preparing to take care of the engine for the departure of the ship, he saw that one of the wheelhouse tiles of the gateway door was destroyed. Upon entering the wheelhouse, he found that a much larger second tile was also crumbling with thousands of shards of glass scattered all over the floor. He then called the boss, David Leroy. to come. Traces of blood were to be seen on the floor and on the stairs that go down inside. Both men went down, being onalert, and came face to face with a man. Quickly, they asked him to go back on deck and wait for the arrival of the police.. The ship went back to sea in the night after replacing both tiles which was a delicate intervention.
