Eight boat people rescued, three missing
Salvamento Marítimo and the Alicante Maritime Captaincy coordinated the rescue of eight North African boat people on the night of July, about 26 nautical miles east of Benidorm. The CCS Valencia continued the search for another three missing people on the morning of July 2, about 10 nautical miles southeast of Cabo de la Nao. The vehicles carrier 'Neptune Ethos', en route from Malaga, rescued five North African men who were located on a boat 26 nautical miles from Benidorm on the night of July 1. Three of them were transferred to Valencia by helicopter, while the other five sailed with the vehicles carrier to its port of destination, Fos, with an ETA as of July 3. At 8:14 p.m., the 'Neptune Ethos' began the rescue of the shipwrecked people from the boat. The five North African men in apparently good health. Pleasure boat towed to Palamós

Two rescued, three dead and seven missing from rubber boat off Motril
On March 22, 2024, the 'Guardamar Polimnia' along with the SAR helicopter Helimer 205 and Frontex were mobilized by Salvamento Marítimo to a semi-sunk ruber boat 26 nautical miles off Cabo Sacratif/Motril. Two people were rescued alive and hoisted aboard teh helicopter amid adverse weather conditions.
