Patrol vessel alerted to boat fire

The "KBV 310" responded to a an alarm from the JRCC of a boat fire at Edö, near Ljusterö, on June 16, 2015. One person was taken to hospital for treatment. Emergency services, the SSRS, the Archipelago Foundation and some private boats were already on the site. The crew of the "KBV 310" put out the last fires of the burning wreck with foam after requests from the emergency services. After a consultation with the supervisor of the Archipelago Foundation the wreckage was towed to Edö island waiting for salvage by the insurance company. An absorbent boom jsd been laid out around the wreck in case of oil seeping out. The cause of the fire was being investigated by the police.
