Ferry ran aground

The KMP 'Tanjung Burang', serving on the Tanjung Punggur Port route, Batam City-Tanjunguban Port, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands ran aground in Tanjung Duren waters after high tide in the morning of April 12, 2022, a few minutes after sailing from Tanjung Punggur Port. All passengers were taken off and transported by boat to Tanjunguban. After the ship refloated, the vehicles of the passengers were unloaded once the ship docked at the Tanjunguban Port. Ferry allided with pier

Dozens of cars and trucks piled up in the parking lot of Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh andcannot cross to Sabang, after the KMP 'Tanjung Burang', operating the the Ulee Lheue-Balohan route, allided with the pier in the afternoon of Aug 11, 2019. Winds were above 25 knots, while the wave height reached four meters. The ferry was docked for repairs on Aug 12. The bow was dented after hitting the end of the pier when it was about to dock at the Balohan Sabang pier. The front ramp has been damaged too. After repairs were completed, the ferry was expected to resume normal operations on Aug 18.
