Ferry suffered technical trouble

Torghatten Nord AS suspended ferry service on the route Småge-Orta-Finnøya-Sandøya-Ona in the evening of Nov 13, 2015, due to technical trouble of the "Kvaløy" which had to be sent to a repair yard. The ferry boat "Nordic Lady" was inserted to transport foot passengers.

Engine failure sidelines ferry

The ferry service Småge-Orta-Finnøya-Sandøya was closed on Aug 16 until Aug 23, 2013, due to a technical failure of the "Kvaløy." The ship suffered an engine failure and has to be repaired. The "Turøy" was inserted as a replacement Ferry but may carry a maximum of 38 passengers.

Ferry service stalled due to technical problems

Ih the morning of Dec 9, 2012, the "Kvaløy" suffered technical problems and therefore had to be taken out of the service Småge-Orta Sandøya-Finnøya-Ona. At 1.40 p.m. the ship was replaced by the "Ålesund" which, however, may carry only passengers. In the afternoon it was announced that the ferry connection remained suspended for the rest of the day, but the ship was expected to be operating again from Dec 10 morning.
