Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble

On Sep 3, 2017 at 08:30 a.m. the "Lærdal" suffered a technical problem and had to be withdrawn from the Dragsvik-Hella-Vangsnes ferry route. The vessel was sidelined in Dragsvik for repairs. In the foremidday the whole service was down, but the operator Fjord1 was working on getting a replacement ship.

Ferry ran aground at Dragsvik

The "Lærdal" suffered technical problems when trying to dock at Dragsvik in the Sogne Fjord on Feb 20, 2016, at 9 a.m. The ferry which is serving the Dragsvik-Hella-Vangsnes in Sogn route swung around and ran aground, but it had fortunately low speed when it happened. A second Ferry pulled the ship off at 11 a.m. There were two passengers and five Crew members on board. The ferry docked in Dragsvik and the Operator Fjord1 started investigating the damage to the ferry with divers. Ferry ran into ferry

The "Lærdal" encountered technical problems at Vangsnes in the afternoon of Nov 29, 2012, and bumped into another Ferry, the "Sunnfjord". The "Lærdal" was heading to the ferry pier on the south side of the Sognefjord, when there was a problem with the Propulsion and the Ferry ran into the side of the ferry which was docked at that time. Apart from the shock, the passengers were not injured.
