Search for missing cook is going on
The search for the cook of the "Miss Elissa" which capsized in the Demerara River on June 8, 2012, continued on june 11, led by the GDF Coastguard. They were not giving up hope, but noted that it was a difficult task for divers to scour the area surrounding the vessel because of the condition of the water.
Capsized and sank on Demerara river, Guyana
General cargo vessel Miss Ellisa capsized and sank on Demerara river, Guyana, on June 8. Of 7 crew 6 rescued and 1, cook, went missing. Vessel was en route to Trinidad and Tobago loaded with coconuts, poles and rice, but for some reason called in Georgetown and capsized on Demerara river in the afternoon.
