Grounding off Buenos Aires

On June 2, 2023, the 'Montevideo I' ran aground off Buenos Aires in the Canal Brown at kilometer 11, while proceeding towards the Paraná river, en route from Bahia Blanca to San Nicolas. The ship got stuck at around 4.30 p.m. LT and was refloated again with tug assistance at around 9 p.m. It resumed sailing and on June 4 arrived at the Ramallo anchorage on the Paraná river, where it moored in pos. 060° 00.03' S 060° 00.03' W and remained stationary as of June 5.
