Five people died of hypoxia

Five people, including four port workers and port paramedic, died on board of the "Sumiei" docked at Banjarmasin port, south Kalimantan, in the night Feb 24, 2018. The ship was loaded with palm kernel,and when dockers went into the hold shortly after the hatches were open, notwithstanding crew warnings, that the holds were to be ventilated for some hours. All five were taken to hospital with hypoxia, all were found dead. The police launched an investigation, suspecting negligence, which led to the tragic accident.
