A cook from the "NS Spirit", who was wounded during the armed attack 55 km off Nigeria, has been operated on and is in stable condition in a hospital in Lagos. The ship’s captain and two crewmembers, who were also injured in the attack, have received medical attention as well. Ten armed people attacked the tanker on Nov 21 night and opened fire from automatic rifles, wounding several crewmembers and forcing others to hide. Soon after the attack the pirates left the tanker carrying away an unspecified sum of money and other valuables, and no further attack attempts had been made.

Early in the morning Nov 22 2010 tanker was attacked by pirates or militants on the road of Lagos Nigeria, at least 1 crew wounded, vessel at 0330 LT was adrift near entrance buoy Lagos asking during 3 hrs for urgent assistance agent and port authorities, but to no avail. Vessel arrived to Lagos from Ventspils, Baltis sea. No more information available.
