Ocean Response converted to oil recovery vessel

Fri Oct 07 11:27:21 CEST 2016 Timsen

Atlantic Offshore on Oct 6, 2016, confirmed it will covert the "Ocean Response" to act as a full oil recovery and spill vessel. The decision was taken in conjunction with Statoil- The vessel will then have more flexibility to serve as an emergency and response vessel. The modification will be done at Hellesøy Verft. The move comes a month after Atlantic Offshore’s "Ocean King" was laid up after its contract with the Norwegian operator. Atlantic Offshore currently operates 15 vessels in the North Sea.
