Extension to current contract for the Polar Onyx

GC Rieber Shipping has agreed an extension of the firm period, securing the Polar Onyx commitment until the end of August 2017.

GC Rieber Shipping signs four month charter for the Polar Onyx

GC Rieber Shipping has entered into a four month time charter agreement for the SURF vessel POLAR ONYX. The charter will commence shortly and will see the vessel continue operating in West Africa. There are in excess of two month options that could follow the firm period. GC Rieber Shipping's business within offshore/shipping includes ownership in specialized vessels, high quality marine ship management and project development within the segments subsea, ice/support and marine seismic. The group has a specialized competence in offshore operations in harsh environments as well as design, development and maritime operation of offshore vessels. GC Rieber Shipping currently operates and has direct and indirect ownership in 11 advanced special purpose vessels for defined markets within the subsea, ice/support and marine seismic segments. GC Rieber Shipping secures West Africa charter

GC Rieber Shipping has entered into a time charter agreement with Marine Platforms Limited in West Africa for subsea construction vessel Polar Onyx. The vessel will perform subsea construction/SURF installation and field development for end client Chevron. The firm period of the charter is around one month, and contains options to extend for up to 5 weeks.
