Wed Sep 11 09:30:47 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "Willem-Alexander" was sidelined in Flushing for repairs on Aug 8, 2019, at 6.30 p.m. after a generator that drives the propeller was jammed. The repair of the broken generator was estimated to take two months. The cause of the damage remained yet to be found out.

Ferry sidelined due to radar trouble

Wed Jun 01 11:51:15 CEST 2016 Timsen

The ferry service between Flushing and Breskens had to be reduced to one departure per hour on June 1, 2016, after the "Prins Willem Alexander" had to remain at the quay in Flushing for repairs after having suffered trouble with the radar. Due to the mist it was decided it would be too risky to operate the ship without properly working navigational equipment. The ferry had berthed in Flushing on May 1 at 6.30 p.m.

Ferry under repair with propeller shaft trouble

Wed Sep 03 10:16:32 CEST 2014 Timsen

On Aug 29, 2014, the ferry service between Flushing and Breskens was reduced to a limited timetable with one sailing per hour, after the "Prins Willem Alexander" was taken out of service due to a technical fault. It meanwhile became clear that the ferry had a problem with the propeller shaft. IT was docked in the morning of Sep 3 for repairs which were expected to take until Sep 5 at least. Ferry operator Veolia hoped to resume to normal timetable on Sep 6, but this was dependent on the development of the repair.
