Service boat on fire
On Oct 29, 2018, at 9.40 p.m. a fire broke out aboard the "Reodor" which was berthed at a fish farm in the Frøy Fjord in Hitra-Frøya. The crew of the fish carrier "Havtrans (IMO: 9673006) remarked the fire. The lifeboat "Horn Flyer", the police and the fire brigades from Frøya and Hitra were alerted to the fish farm at Omsøyholman NE of Kvenvær resp. SW of Melandsjøen which initially was thought to be the one on fire. At 10 p.m. the "Horn Flyer" took on board fire fighting equipment in Siholmen and was on site at 10.30 p.m. Already at 10.40 p.m. the blaze was under control.
