Pleasure boat towed to Rota
The Spanish flagged motor yacht 'Francisco y Cata' (MMSI:224569340)suffered an engine failure and went adrift three nautical miles from the mouth of the Rota marina on April 16, 2024, and requested towing assistance. On Oct 8 at around 3 a.m. the 'Salvamar Suhail' completed the disembarkation of 16 North Africans from an inflatable boat in the Port of Cádiz after a very complicated rescue due to the inclement weather conditions in the area, with force 6 Levante winds and strong seas. The response was coordinated by the CCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Cádiz.
