Sea Cloud Cruises to add third tall ship to its fleet in summer 2020

Tue Nov 27 08:27:00 CET 2018 arnekiel

Sea Cloud Cruises is to add a third tall ship to its fleet in summer 2020. To be named Sea Cloud Spirit, the 136-guest vessel will be constructed by Metalships & Docks S.A.U. in Vigo, Spain and will be modelled on her sister ship Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II. Like her sisters, the vessel will be powered by 27 sails that span 4,000 square metres in total, as well as an eco-friendly diesel-electric engine. Hamburg-based firm Partner Ship Design will design the ship’s interiors, using “clear, classic lines and high-quality furnishings” to create a private yacht-style atmosphere.
