Freighter disabled in Kiel Canal
Enroute from Aviles to Szczecin the "Seabee" was disabled by an engine blackout during the transit of the Kiel Canal at Schülp in the late afternoon of June 4, 2017. The tug "Stein" was called from Kiel to assist and entered the canal locks at 6 p.m. bound to the freighter in order to pull it to the communal port in Rendsburg where it was safely berthed at 10.10 p.m.
