The Port Authority of Poros was informed, in the morning hours of Oct 15, 2022, by the master of the "Speed Cat I", which was operating a route from Piraeus to the ports of Poros, Hydra and Spetses, about an incident involving an object in the port side main engine. The ship sailed safely to the port of Poros with 106 passengers and twelve crew members, where it disembarked ten passengers, while 96 were forwarded to their destination by the shipping company. The Port Authority of Poros prohibited the sailing of the vessel, until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the ship's surveyor, while it was allowed to sail for a single voyage, without passengers, to the port of Piraeus. After the berthing of the ship in the port of Piraeus, the relevant Port Authority prohibited the sailing of the ferry until the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class from the classifier monitoring it.
