The 'Straits Energy', which had suffered engine trouble and anchored on the Bisan Seto East Traffic Route on Dec 21, 2021, left the anchorage again on Jan 1, 2022, at 10.30 p.m. The tanker arrived at the Yosu Anchorage on Jan 7. On Jan 8 it berthed in Busan.
Engine trouble in Bisan Seto East Traffic Route
The 'Straits Energy' enroute from Busan to Ako, suffered engine trouble on Dec 21, and dropped anchor inside the Bisan Seto East Traffic Route on Dec 21. 2021. She remained moored in position 34 43 06 N, 134 27 24E, about 1.5 nautical miles from the Aioi Anchorage as of Dec 28.
Disabled tanker taken in tow
The 'Straits Energy', en route from Busan to Ako, suffered engine trouble in pos. 33 52 00 N, 132 42 00 Eand was taken in tow by the tug 'Murotsumaru' on Dec 13, 2021, at 5.50 a.m. from Matsuyama Ko towards Mutsure through the Kanmon passage. The bunker tanker had sailed from Matsuyama en route to Mutsure at 6 a.m. and went NUC in pos. 33 51 10 N, 132 40 33 E. The tanker moored at the Bisan Seto East Traffic Route on Dec 21, about 1,7 nautical miles from the Aioi Anchorage in position 34 43 02 N, 134 27 11 E.
