The ferry service between Bøjden and Fynshav had to be canceled on Feb 14, 2011, after strong winds pushed the "Thor Sydfyen" into the wharf as it was approaching the ferry berth in Fynshav upon Als. The ferry got a dent and was unable to proceed. It was taken out of service by the Færgen A/S which operates on the route AlsFærgen Bøjden-Fynshav. Workers were busy throughout the day to repair the ferry. They fixed some temporary plates, and the classification society has allowed the ferry to resume sailing from Feb 15 morning. Permanent repairs will be carried out during a routine yard stay in April.
