UNIVERSAL MK2017 9323211

Mon Feb 14 22:12:31 CET 2011 Timsen

The 13,9 m long pilot boat "Pilot 2" sank off Tsim Sha Tsui after a collision with the "New Ferry 86" in the night of Feb 14, 2011, about two kilometers from the China Hong Kong City Pier. Three people on the pilot boat were slightly injured, while all 161 passengers on the catamaran escaped unhurt. The slightly damaged catamaran was able to return to the China Hong Kong City Pier under its own power. Floats were placed in the area to warn vessels. All passengers were sent to Macau on another catamaran the same evening. The damaged catamaran is now awaiting repairs at the company's dock at Cheung Sha Wan. Only the bow of the catamaran was damaged.
