91 persons evacuated after engine room fire in London

The 'Venus CLipper', 172 gt (IMO: 9867736), suffered a fire in the port side engine room with 91 people on board on the Thames River in London at the Canary Wharf in position 51 30 27.0 N, 000 00 21.6 E on July 10, 2022, at around 3 p.m. The lifeboat of the RNLI station in Gravesend, the 'Marine Police 3', LFB Firedart and LFB Fireflash were mobilized to assist the vessel. All persons were disembarked at Canary Wharf as of 3.30 p.m. The LFB Fireflash confirmed the fire was extinguished. The SAR operation was completed at 3.55 p.m.

Wight Shipyard delivered VENUS CLIPPER to MBNA Thames Clippers

The 19th fast passenger ferry to be built for operation on the River Thames by MBNA Thames Clippers – the 222-passenger capacity 30m VENUS CLIPPER – has been delivered from Wight Shipyard in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
