26 distressed sailors rescued

The "Jiang Hang 99" was among five ships which got in distress in the afternoon of June 29, 2015, with on the whole 26 crew members on board. All were rescued by helicopters and rescue ships. The ships were caught in a storm off Dalian in the Bohai Sea. After they requested assistance, a large-scale rescue operation was launched with helicopters. At 3:20 p.m. the "Yu Xin Huo 13396" sank 67 miles northwest of Dalian after all of the five crew members on board were rescued by the rescue helicopter B-7309. The rescue helicopter also airlifted five other crew members on board the "Jiang Hang 99" (MMSI-No.: 413971900) to Dalian at 5:05 p.m. after the vessel took on water about 30 miles southwest of Bayuquan port. At 3:36 p.m. the dredger "Jiang Shun 299" and the "Guo Liang 7" reported to the SAR centre in Hebei province that they took on water 25 miles east of Jingtang port, with a total of 10 crew members in danger. At 5:28 p.m. the rescue helicopter B-7312 based in Penglai, Shandong, airlifted the four crew members of the "Guo Liang 7" to Penglai, with the six crew members on board the "Jiang Shun 299" being evacuated to the rescue vessel "Hua Yue". At 4:38 p.m. the SAR centre in Qinhuangdao in Hebei reported that the dredger "Cheng Tong 7" sank 40 miles northeast of Jingtang port, with six crew members falling into the water.
