Remontowa starts production of the first two Norled double-enders

Production has now started with the first steel cut of the first two Norled double-enders at Poland’s Remontowa Shipbuilding (yard number 619/1 and 619/2). The two diesel-electric hybrid double-enders will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Poland’s PERN plans to extend Gdansk Oil Terminal by 2020

Poland’s pipeline operator PERN plans to more than double the capacity of Gdansk Oil Terminal, the company said on Monday. PERN has launched a tender procedure to extend the terminal, which would see its oil storage capacity increase by more than 2.5 million barrels of crude oil from 2.36 million barrels.

Port of Gdansk signs contract for expansion and modernisation of road and rail network in its Outer Port

On 3 July, the Port of Gdansk Authority signed a contract with NDI SA, the contractor for the expansion of the road and rail system in the Outer Port. The project is co-funded from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and is yet another contract involving EU subsidies signed by the Port of Gdansk within recent months. The value of the contract amounts to nearly PLN 176 million.
