Ferry damaged in storm

The 'Achaeos' suffered a broken window due to freak waves prevailing at Aegina Island on Nov 19, 2023, at 1.30 p.m. LT. The ferry was trying to berth at Aegina for more than an hour as winds at the scale of 10 Beaufort were blowing in the area. No injuries or water ingress have been reported.

Engine trouble off Piraeus

In the afternoon of July 15, 2023, the Port Authority of Argosaronikos was informed by the Master of the 'Achaeos' that en route from the port of Aegina to the port of Piraeus a mechanical failure occurred in one of of its four engines. The ferry sailed safely to the port of Piraeus with 678 passengers and 18 crew members on board. The Port Authority of Argosaronikos prohibited the sailing of the ship until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of cass maintenance by the monitoring classification society.

Ferry suffered damage to electric motors

The Port Authority of Piraeus was informed in the morning oof Aug 5, 2021, about a damage of the electric motors of the 'Achaeos'on its scheduled route from Piraeus to Aegina and Agistri with 314 passengers on board. Some passengers were transferred onto the 'Fivos' and were forwarded to their destination with the care of the owner company, while the rest were forwarded to their destination by other ships of the line. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned the ship from sailing until the damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was presented by the monitoring classification society. The ship left the port again on Aug 6 at 10.30 a.m.
