Exhaust gas leak from engine

The Port Authority of Igoumenitsa was informed on Oct 3, 2022, at noon by the master of the 'Agia Eirini' about a leak of exhaust gases from the intake valves in the No. 1 cylinder of the starboard side main engine while serving the scheduled route from the port of Corfu to Igoumenitsa. The ship sailed safely to the port of Igoumenitsa, where it was inspected and the damage was found. The Port Authority started a preliminary investigation and banned the ship from sailing until the presentation of a class maintenance certificate by the monitoring classification society.

Allision in Salamis

The Port Authority of Corfu was informed in the early morning hours of Dec 23, 2021, about the allision of the 'Agia Eirini' with a quay in the Mantouki basin of Corfu, during the mooring operation, due to non-response of the transmission controls of the engines from the bridge to the engine room. The ship suffered a damage to the bow of about three meters length and 30 centimeters above the water line. The Port Authority, which was conducting the preliminary investigation, banned the ship from sailing, while the Captain was arrested.

Malfunction to its starboard main engine

Vessel sustained malfunction to its starboard main engine near Corfu 26 Jun 2019. Vsl detained until completion of repairs. Passengers disembarked & forwarded to another vsl. Passenger ro/ro Agia Eirini, sailed from Corfu, Greece at 1018 hrs, Jul 3.
