The Tunisian Ministry of the Interior described the attack on the 'Alma', which was docked at the port of Sidi Bou Said as premeditated. on Sep 10. Second ship of Gaza Solidarity Flotilla caught fire
A fire broke out on Sep 9, 2025, at 5.40 p.m. LT on the foredeck of the 'Alma', the second largest ship in the Gaza Solidarity Flotilla, which was thought to have been caused by a drone. The crew managed to put out the flames at 6.20 p.m. The incident came one day after the fire that affected the 'Family' (MMSI: 255915808) off the coast of Sidi Bou Said. The Joint Action Coordination for Palestine called for immediate relief to the port where the ship is moored. Nine activists were on board at the time of the incident; all were safe and sound, and no injuries have been reported. Despite this incident, the organizers affirmed that the flotilla planned to continue its journey to Gaza at all costs.
