River cruise ship stuck on Rhine

Sun Oct 14 15:48:42 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Anesha" ran aground on the Rhine in Bonn at river km 654 on Oct 12, 2018, at 8.30 p.m., close to the pier of the Köln-Düsseldorfer Company where it had tried to berth. During the night, no attempts were carried out to refloat the vessel. In the morning of Oct 13, the master in vain tried to get it off with own power. The Dutch barge "Onderneming" offered assistance which was acepted. It was able to refloat the cruise ship short past 10 a.m. Report with photo and video: https://www.express.de/bonn/rettung-aus-holland-in-bonn-festgefahrenes-kreuzfahrtschiff--anesha--wieder-frei-31434402

River cruise ship ran onto Danube shore

Sun Sep 11 18:56:13 CEST 2016 Timsen

In the morning of Sep 11, 2016, the "Anesha" ran onto the shore of the Danube near Vojka. The ship suffered slight damage. None of the 150 passengers and 50 crew members were injured. One of the four officers of the ship, the Romanian master, did not pass the breathalyzer test afterwards. He was taken to hospital with a heart attack. Divers were called to survey the hull in the foremidday, after the ship was pulled out, before it was released in the run of the day, so that the voyage to Budapest could be continued.
