Medevac off Pylos
In the afternoon of Oct 3, 2020, the Port Authority of Kalamata was informed that a 42-year-old crew member of the 'Bothnia', which was enroute from Antwerp to Aliaga, which was sailing i85 miles west of Pylos, was in need of immediate hospital treatment due to a bruise on a finger of his right hand. A Navy helicopter immediately took off and hoisted the 42-year-old man, who was transported to Kalamata and then taken by ambulance to the General Hospital of Messinia for medical examinations.
