Under tow to Piräus
In the evening of March 29, 2017, the Polish tug "Amber II" left Rotterdam with the "Atlatnis" in tow, bound for Piraeus. She was bought by a Dutch shipbroker in May 2016 and was laid up at Ridderkerk awaiting sale since.
Sold to Seychelles
The Cassen Eils company has sold the "Atlantis" to new owners based on the Seychelles. The ship was released by the newbuilding "Helgoland". The contract was signed on June 1, 2016, in Ridderkerk after the ship was transferred from Cuxhaven to Rotterdam by captain Jürgen Mathiesen and his crew.
Technical trouble enforced cancellation
On Aug 27, 2014, the "Atlantis" suffered technical trouble enroute from Cuxhaven to Helgoland which forced the ship to enter the south port once the island was reached. After the return to Cuxhaven technicians tried to fix the problems with the exhaust pipes so that the trip to Helgoland on Aug 28 had to be cancelled. FRS Helgoline hoped to have the ship back in service on Aug 29.Upload News
