Thu Nov 24 18:31:03 CET 2022 Timsen

Vessels have been placed on alert after the 'B Ocean' went missing in the Gulf of Guinea. The Piracy reporting body Maritime Domain Awareness for Trade Gulf of Guinea (MDAT GoG) said it received a report in the morning of Nov 24, 2022, that communication had been lost with the tanker. MDAT GoG, a joint operation between the British and French navies, asked for masters in the area to report any sighting of the vessel, or any suspicious activity. The Security company Africa Risk Compliance (ARC) said contact was lost on Nov 23 at 11 p.m. 240 nautical miles off Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in international waters. The last activity of vessel was drifting in the area for approximately 24 hours. Wave height of 1.2 metres and a gentle breeze were reported in the area.
