Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
On Dec 15, 2019, at midday the 'Baagø Færgen' was hit by technical problems and was sidelined in Assens for repairs. The operator hoped to have the ship sailing again on Dec 16 at 5 p.m., but during a trial sailing in the afternoon of Dec 16, it became clear that the ship would need further repairs and an update could not be given before Dec 20. In the meantime a boat only for passengers would be sailing.
Ferry adrift off Assens
The "Bågøfergen" that sails between Assens and the island Bågø got in trouble on the route from Bågø to the ferry dock in Assens in the morning of Jan 8, 2019. For just over an hour, the ferry was adrift in the Little Belt after both main engines suddenly conked out. The ferry later manged to sail further towards Assens where the technical problems were resolved. At 2.15 p.m. the ferry returned to service.
