Replica pirate ship loaded on heavy lift ship

Wed Nov 14 22:32:51 CET 2012 Timsen

The Yacht Path Marine Group has successfully loaded the replica pirate ship "Black Pearl" aboard the "BBC Pearl" in Barbers Point on Nov 11, 2012. The Fort Lauderdale based Yacht Path Marine Group has been proudly awarded the contract to transport the 270-ton, 140-foot custom-build pirate ship from Barbers Point, Hawaii to St. Thomas. The replica pirate ship "Black Pearl" was most famously known for her role in Disney's blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. This replica tall ship set is constructed over the hull of another vessel, the "Sunset", which was once used to service the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico. The shipment started on Nov 12.
