Yacht disabled by orcas
On Aug 9, 2021, at 12.30 p.m. the 'Blue Peter' reported an attack by orca killer whales, which caused rudder damage to the yacht in position 36 02 00N, 006 00 00W, about eight nautical miles southwest of Barbate. The yacht requested towing assistance. Salvamento Marítimo deployed the SAR boat, 'Salvamar Enif' to the scene which pulled the boat to Barbate, where it was safely berthed at 4.45 p.m.
