Trawler sank in Murmansk

Fri Jan 15 10:32:05 CET 2021 Timsen

The decommissioned 'Briz' suffered a partially flooding in the night of Jan 14, 2021, and capsized near the pier of the Murmansk Shipyard. It was heavily listing to starboard side with its stern submerged. The North-West Transport Prosecutor launched an investigation into the accident aboard the fishing vessel. The sinking could have been caused by icing. The ship was towed to Murmansk in 2018 and had been due to be recyled in port.
