Fire in Sea of Okhotsk
The 'Brompton Sun' with 42 offshore oil rig workers on board, suffered a fire in the engine room in the afternoon of July 9, 2020, in the Sea of Okhotsk off central Sakhalin enroute to an oil rig. The fire was extinguished by the crew, and the workers were taken off by the offshore supply ship 'Katun' (IMO: 9701126), and transported to the platform. The 'Brompton Sun' was sailing back to the base port Korsakov with own power.
