Repair of bulk carrier completed

After the collision with the bulk carrier 'RB Lisa' on the Yangtze River on Aug 2, the 'Bulk Shenzen' has returned to operation following repairs on Oct 8 and left the port of Zhoushan en route to Port Hedland with an ETA as of Oct 21. The bulk carrier had been able to proceed to its discharge port in Jiangyin under its own engine power and arrived been at Zhoushan port on Aug 11 for repairs of bow damage.

Collision on the Yangtze

The 'Bulk Shenzen' was in collision with the bulk carrier 'RB Lisa' (IMO: 9730828) on the Yangtze river near Shanghai on Aug 1, 2021, around 10 p.m. The accident happened when the 'RB Lisa' unmoored from its berth at Chongming island in the river estuary, enroute to Singapore, and came in contact with the incoming 'Bulk Sheznzen' which was carrying 103,655 tons of iron ore on board and suffered hull damage. Both ships were anchored near the accident site in pos. 31° 32.03' N 121° 23.24' E resp. 31° 31.61' N 121° 23.31' E where they remained stationary as of Aug 2. .
