Fire in IJzendoorn

On May 7, 2019, at 8.15 p.m. a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Camaro 4", 3144 ts (EU-No.: 02329331), which had sailed from Dordrecht at 3 p.m., on the Waal near IJzendoorn. The ship managed to reach an emergency pier in the port. When the fire rescue arrived, there was strong smoke development from the cabin area. The crew was evacuated from board, one of them was treated on scene for smoke inhalation. The fire could soon be extinguished. Also the fire boat "Batouwe" and the patrol boat "RWS 43" of Rijkswaterstaat attended. Barge allided with Botlek Bridge

On Dec 28, 2016, at 4.45 a.m. the "Camaro IV", 3188 ts (EU-No.: 02329331;), having sailed from Rotterdam on Dec 27 at 5.30 p.m., allided with the Botlek Bridge in Rotterdam at Hoogvliet. The wheelhouse crashed against the bridge, one crew member was slightly injured. The master had forgotten to lower the wheelhouse before passing under the bridge which has a height of 14 meters. The "RPA 13" of the port authority and an ambulance attended. Damage to the bridge remained limited. The barge berthed in the Botlek after the accident.
