Oceana’s first newbuild on 6-year chart

Thu Apr 14 09:50:47 CEST 2016 arnekiel

The new Oceana shipyard in Itajai, Brazil has successfully delivered their very first newbuild, a platform supply vessel of the PX105 design from Ulstein Group, the CBO Oceana. The vessel was delivered to shipowner Oceana Offshore on 30 March 2016, and on 1 April, the vessel started a 6-year contract for Petrobras. A sister vessel is also under construction at the yard, and is scheduled for completion within the end of Q2 this year. In his speech on the occasion of the naming ceremony in March 2016, yard manager Paul Kempers stressed the beauty of the vessel and the good cooperation between Ulstein and the yard in order to complete this high-quality ship.
