Crew member died on board
In the night of April 17, 2022, the Lavrio Port Authority was informed by the 'Celestyal Olympia', which was docked in the port of Lavrio, that a 52-year-old crew membe needed immediate hospital treatment. Upon the arrival of the EKAB ambulance in the port of Lavrio, its executives were informed by the ship's chief physician that the patient had died. The body was transported to the General Hospital of Nea Ionia in order to confirm his death and to perform an autopsy-necropsy. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Central Port Authority of Lavrio.
Medevac off Thira
The Port Authority of Thira was informed in the morning of July 29, 2021, that a 27-year-old crew member of the 'Celestyal Olympia', a specialty baker, needed to be medevaced. The ship sailed to the anchorage of the bay of Thi, where the patient was disembarked safely and transported to the General Hospital of Thira, where he remained for further examination and treatment. The ship continued its planned route from Thira to Rhodes.
Medevac off Piraeus
The Piraeus Port Authority was informed on Feb 22, 2019, at midday hours today, that a 28-year-old crew member of the "Celestyal Olympia" was in need of immediate hospital care. The ship was outside the port of Piraeus, where the patient was medevaced by the "Roussis II" and taken to the Xavier Pier and was then transported by an ambulance to a private hospital.
