Bulkcarrier dragged anchor
On Jan 24, 2016, the "Chang Ming Yang" reported to the Zhoushan MRCC that she was dragging anchor and drifting towards the shore in stormy weather conditions. The vessel was anchored on Dai Shan port roads. Zhoushan Maritime Safety Administration sent three tugboats for rescue operations and managed to stabilize the vessel. There were 26 crew onboard the "Chang Ming Yang", all of them evacuated from the ship safely. The ship was under repair at Daishan Haizhou Shipyard. Also the "Chen Yang 10", which was under repair at Sinopacific Shipbuilding drifted away from the yards after the storm broke the anchor ropes.
