Fire in engine room
In the engine room of the "Charlois", 4293 ts (EU-No.: 02333461), a fire broke out while the ship was underway on the New Maas on April 16, 2019, at 5.05 p.m. It was quickly berthed at a pier in Krimpen upon Ijssel so that the alerted fire rescue could quickly get access. Also patrols of Rijkswaterstaat and tugs of the Port of Rotterdam attended and secured the site. The fire was successfully put out, no one was injured. The tanker sailed again at 11.20 p.m. and headed to Dordrecht, where it berthed in the early morning of April 17.
