Allision on the Danube
On June 2, 2019, the "Crucestar", under the command of a Ukrainian captain, got off course during a turning manoever on the Danube at the Djerdap 1 lock and slammed into another river cruise ship, the German "A-Rosa Mia" which was berthed at the quay. The ship got its bow tip crushed and then drifted against the river quay before it could be brought unter control. The "Crucestar" had sailed from Budapest on May 30 and berthed in the Molodovan port Giurgiu on June 3 at 10.55 a.m. At 8.10 p.m. it continued to Fetesti. The "A Rosa Mia" which had sailed from Vienna on May 30 suffered damage at starboard side when the "Crucestar" hit.
