Medevac near Glacier Bay
An Coast Guard Air Station Sitka aircrew medically evacuated a passenger from the "Crystal Symphony" near Glacier Bay, Alaska,on Sep 7, 2019. At 2:30 p.m., the Coast Guard Juneau Command Center received a call via VHF Channel 16 from the cruise ship requesting a medevac of a 52-year-old male reportedly suffering heart attack symptoms. The MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew safely hoisted and transported the passenger to awaiting Emergency Medical Service personnel in Sitka from where an EMS crew took him to Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital. The patient was evaluated and then flown to Seattle’s Swedish Medical Center by a Guardian Flight crew.

Crystal Cruises back to Dover
For the first time since 2015, on 10 August, the renowned 238m long, 12-deck luxury cruise ship Crystal Symphony called at Dover bringing approximately 1,000 discerning passengers to the town. Three further calls in August will follow and, with additional calls already booked for 2018, 2019 and 2020, the celebrated cruise ship will be a valued, regular sight in Dover in the future.Upload News
