Electrical failure off Ojibway

The 'CSL Assiniboine', enroute from Port Colborne, was disabled off Ojibway, Ontario due to an electrical failure on its main engine in position 42 15 37N, 083 06 34W, on March 28, 2021, at 1.50 p.m. The vessel dropped anchor to assess the situation, and repairs were carried out by a shore technician. The ship resumed its voyage to Detroit upon completion of repairs and arrived in port the same night.

Engine failure on Welland Canal

The 'CSL Assiniboine' suffered a failure of its portside main engine while approaching the Lock No. 2 in the Welland Canal off St. Catharines, Ontario, while in position 43 11 44.4 N, 079 12 14.9 W, on Dec 30 at 7.45 p.m. The vessel proceeded to the Port Weller Drydocks using its starboard engine for repairs where it remained stationary as of Jan 2, 2020.

Engine failure in Montreal

The "CSL Assiniboine" suffered an engine failure in position 045 37 04 N, 073 30 12 W, while departing Section 98 of the port of Montreal, Quebec, on Nov 24, 2018, at 9.45 p.m. Using its other engine, the vessel returned to port for repairs and finally sailed on Nov 25 at 6.45 p.m., bound to Detroit with an ETA as of Nov 28.
