Repairs of collision damage completed

The 'Daytona H', which had been in collision with the bulk carrier Apollo Bulker' in pos 40 58 18.0 N, 028 56 06.0 E on Nov 10 at Istanbul anchorage, which was being repaired at Tripoli since Nov 30, completed the repairs and left the porti on Dec 6.

Repairs of allision damage in Tripoli

The 'Daytona H' berthed at Tripoli on Nov 30 for repairs of the forward port bulwark which was dented over a length of 10 meters, with three air vents having been broken. The estimated repair time was one week.

Allision off Istanbul

The bulk carrier 'Apollo Bulker' (IMO:9459151), en route from Constanta to Suez, allided with the 'Daytona H', while manoevering to an anchorage in pos. 40 58 18.0 N, 028 56 06.0 E, off Istanbul on Nov 10, 2021, at 11.30 p.m. The 'Daytona H' was bound from Constanta to Tripoli. After the incident, the 'Apollo Bulker' was shifted to a convenient anchorage area under own power and moored in pos. 40° 58.59' N 028° 56.34' E. The 'Daytona H' remained stationary in pos. 40° 58.41' N 028° 56.05' E as of Nov 12. An incident investigation file has been opened by the incident investigation desk of the Port Captain. The vessel's departure permissions were cancelled until completion of damage surveys and an incident investigation.
