Drillship Discoverer India to move to US Gulf
India’s Reliance Industries plans to move its chartered drillship Discoverer India from India to the US Gulf of Mexico next month, Upstream Online reports. The drillship has been contracted to Reliance since December last year at a dayrate of $508,000. According to Transocean’s latest fleet status report, released today, it will remain under contract to Reliance in the US Gulf through February 2013 before returning to India the following month Transocean lists the Discoverer India as capable of operating in 12,000 feet of water depth and drilling down to a depth of 40,000 feet.
