Disabled tanker under tow to Frederikshavn

Tue Sep 05 09:47:12 CEST 2017 Timsen

The "Donizetti", which had encountered propulsion damage when leaving Le Havre on Aug 19, 2017, and which had returned to port, remaining at the dock since, finally sailed on Sep 3, 2017, at 2.30 p.m. The ship, which apparently suffered a broken crankshaft, had to be towed by the Danish tug "Egesund" (IMO: 9059248), which had been deployed from Svendborg on Aug 24. The convoy was bound to a repair yard in Frederikshavn, ETA Sep 9. French report with photos: https://www.meretmarine.com/fr/content/le-havre-le-donizetti-part-en-remorque-pour-le-danemark
